Let’s build a better Tulsa “From the Bottom Up, not the Top Down”

Eddie in a sentence:

Born in Post WW2 Germany, grew up in Da Hood, became a blk radical/Hippie, saw his life transformed after college, became a foreign missionary, mixed what he learned there with what he learned from the life of Booker T. Washington to hopefully make this world, especially Tulsa, a better place.

Much of the focus of the past 20 years has been on Downtown, Entertainment and Tulsa being a “Welcoming City”.

Meanwhile the surrounding communities have focused on being nice places to live. Their focus has been on infrastructure.

I think it is time for the City of Tulsa re-focus on being a great place to live and work… How do we do that?

  1. Public safety should always be the #1 priority for any community. We need to attract and retain the best possible police and fire force.

  2. Focus spending on infrastructure. Resurfacing and widening streets, particularly in high traffic areas.

  3. Create better relations with the suburbs and county to find ways to partner in bordering areas to save money. We should not be fighting each other, we should turn this into a Tulsa Metroplex where we grow together not competing against one another.
